Villarreal have announced the departure of Serge Aurier.

The Ivory Coast fullback signed for Villarreal in January after leaving Tottenham.

Aurier is now a free agent after being allowed to come off contract by Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Villarreal are in talks to sign Pepe Reina from Lazio, who spent three seasons with the Yellow Submarine before joining Liverpool.

Reina would arrive as cover for Geromino Rulli following Sergio Asenjo's decision to leave.
