Aston Villa are ready to discuss a swap deal with Leeds United for young midfielder Fabian Delph.

The Birmingham Mail says Villa are set to offer teenage striker Nathan Delfouneso to Leeds United on a 12-month loan in a bid to steal a march on Everton and pip them to the signing of £6 million-rated Delph.

Delfouneso 18, is regarded as one for the future by manager Martin O'Neill having made a big impression last season with goals against Zilina, Hamburg and Doncaster in cup games, although he is yet to start in the Premier League.
