Aston Villa striker Darren Bent is convinced Matt Lowton is a future England star.

Lowton struck last week in victory over Swansea City.

Bent told Villa's website: "Matt has settled in really well and he gives absolutely everything he's got in every game.

"I didn't know much about him before he joined us but he has been really impressive in training and in matches.

"In fact, it's hard to believe he's stepped up two divisions. I get the feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of him in the coming months.

"It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't follow in the footsteps of another former Blades player Kyle Walker, who was on loan here and is now England's first-choice right-back."
