Darren Bent says he's discussed new signings with Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert.

The England striker would like to see former wingers Stewart Downing and Ashley Young replaced.

"I'm sure Paul Lambert's got targets in mind, I spoke to him last week," Bent revealed.

"He said he wants to bring one or two in and I'm sure the people that he brings in will give 100 per cent and fight for the Villa cause."
