Aston Villa midfielder James Milner admits he's been crossing swords with Manchester United star Wayne Rooney since he was ten years old!
Milner recalls facing Rooney with Leeds U11s while the United star was an Everton junior.
He told the Sunday Times: "I was 10, we had a very good team and went unbeaten for a year. But he stood out. He had the ability but he was very physical as well. We heard he did boxing as well and he was so much stronger than everyone else. He bullied us around the field and then outplayed us with his ability.
"We were talking about him in the dressing room afterwards. A year or two later he disappeared, and we used to wonder whatever happened to him. We didn't realise that while we had graduated to the under-13s, he was playing for Everton's under-17s."
