Aston Villa are ready to pounce for want-away Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinic.
The Daily Star says Kalinic, 23, has been on Aston Villa's wanted list since an impressive performance against them in the Carling Cup last year.
Kalinic has suffered at Ewood Park since the sacking of former manager Sam Allardyce, who signed him for £5m from Hajduk Split almost two years ago.
He has barely figured under new boss Steve Kean and was left out of the squad at Arsenal last weekend.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp could also be interested as he tried to sign the striker during his time in charge at Portsmouth.
