Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov believes loan signing Jermaine Jenas can still make a positive impact at the club.
The Tottenham midfielder is yet to make an appearance for his loan club this season because of injury but could make his Villa debut when Norwich City come to town on Saturday and Petrov has welcomed his likely inclusion.
"Jermaine has been unlucky with injuries so far but we know how important he can be for this team," he told the club's official website.
"He has shown over the years what a good player he is.
"We already have competition for places between me, Stephen Ireland and Fabian Delph, and Jermaine will add to that.
"He's a typical midfielder. He can defend, he can attack, he can score goals and he's a good athlete.
"He will be a great addition to the squad when he starts playing."
