Aston Villa have named digital agency Rippleffect as their new digital partner, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Under the terms of the long-term deal, Rippleffect, a Liverpool-based agency, will work with the Aston Villa's marketing and communications team to create a new official club website - avfc.co.uk.
According to the club, the new platform, set to launch in the autumn, will offer a state-of-the-art live matchday experience to enhance fan experience and engagement, in addition to news, features, videos and statistical information.
Prior to the site launch and ahead of the start of the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season, Rippleffect will redevelop Aston Villa's dedicated video channel, AVTV, together with the club's new video partner StreamUK. The new channel will feature HD TV and will work on mobile and tablet devices.
Russell Jones, the head of marketing and communications at Villa Park, said: "Our aim is to offer a world-class user experience that our fans embrace and which will lead to greater engagement and strong commercial performance.
