Aston Villa remain keen on Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert.

Former Villa boss Paul Lambert failed with a bid for his namesake in January.

The Express & Star says Villa will revisit a planned £5million move for Lambert in the summer - provided they stay in the Premier League.

The likelihood is that he will fall further down the pecking order when the Reds move for front-men as the summer transfer window opens.
