Ex-Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand is not a target for Aston Villa, reports the Express and Star. The 35-year-old, who recently left Old Trafford, was a reported target for the Midlands club but they made no offer ahead of signing Philippe Senderos from Valencia.
Queens Park Rangers, managed by Ferdinand's former West Ham boss Harry Redknapp, are also rumoured to be interested.
