Villa must learn from Swansea defeat, admits Sherwood

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood was left frustrated with their 1-0 defeat to Swansea City.

Villa are three points above the relegation zone and Sherwood rued the late loss.

"That's the second time it's happened now, against Stoke in my first game it was a little later but it was disappointing to lose in that manner," he said.

"I think we deserved a point. They were better than us in the first period and in the second we looked the most likely to score.

"There comes a time in the game where, if you're looking like not winning it, you have to make sure you don't lose it. Unfortunately we've done that twice now.

"It was a good break and they have done us with pace, it was a race to the ball in the middle and Gomis beat us to it.

"It's a set-back but we'll pick ourselves up, we'll be all right."
