Villa midfielder Holman linked with Al Nasr

Aston Villa midfielder Brett Holman is being linked with a move to United Arab Emirates club Al Nasr.

The 29-year old Australian international has found life difficult in the Premier League since his shift from AZ Alkmaar last July and it appears as though he will continue his career in Dubai once he passes a medical.

"Brett represents a strong signing for us as he's an international player who has played in England, one of the top leagues in Europe," Al Nasr board member Fahad Hadi told The National.

"He has the qualities that we needed at Al Nasr and, most importantly, he has a lot of experience.

"It's good to have someone with that knowledge in our squad, and he will only improve the team."

Holman is expected to sign a two-year deal with Al Nasr and will replace Catania's Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto as the clubs Asian visa player following his recent loan.
