Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner is determined to have a breakout season.
Potential is no longer enough. He needs to deliver.
"I've been here since I was seven," he told the Birmingham Mail. "I've been to the Villa games all my life. I was brought up around the area. It's a dream come true to play for the first team like I have.
"Obviously I've had a difficult couple of years due to injuries, but I've learned from that and the people around me have made me stronger. The club have been brilliant - now hopefully I can kick on and all of them are behind me."
