Aston Villa legend Andy Gray fears they're going down.

Villa lost a big six pointer to Hull City last night.

"They have got all the hallmarks of a team that is going down," Gray told talkSPORT.

"Paul comes out every week and says, 'we played quite well today'. That might be the case, but they are not winning football matches, and they don't look like winning football matches.

"You look at the other teams down there. I saw Burnley at the weekend and they are capable of getting goals, they have got great spirit, and they look like they know what they are doing. Even Leicester, they went to Arsenal last night and were really unlucky not to come away with something. They played really well and created a lot of chances. I just don't see any of that from Villa.

"I really worry for my old club. I am not one for seeing people lose their jobs, but sometimes change is necessary. Paul is a great lad, but it just hasn't worked for him at Villa. Three years he has been there now, he has been given a lot of time, a lot of money."
