Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given holds no grudge against current No1 Brad Guzan.
Given has been impressed by the match-saving form of team-mate and good friend Guzan and insists Villa's plight over the coming weeks and months is much more important than his personal situation.
"My fitness is fine," Given told the Birmingham Mail. "I'm just keeping my head down and hoping to get a chance.
"To be fair to Brad Guzan, he's been playing some great stuff and he's doing really well.
"It is a tough one for the manager to pick one of us. He has gone with Brad this season and it is has been difficult for me at times because, when you work hard all week and come match day you are not playing, it is hard.
"But the most important thing is Aston Villa being in the Premier League next season. Richard Scudamore was talking about the money going up next year and it's a season you don't want to get relegated. We're all pulling in the same direction."
