Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill intends to make an offer for Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz.
The Birmingham Mail says O'Neill will push the boat out for Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz with Blackburn having already turned down two bids from Manchester City for a player rated in the £15million bracket.
If O'Neill fails to land Santa Cruz he will switch his attentions to Reading's much-coveted 24-year-old Irish international Kevin Doyle.
