Aston Villa defender Nathan Baker has highlighted the impact of new teammate Philippe Senderos.
Villa have conceded just one goal in their first four games and while Baker filled in for injured captain Ron Vlaar at Anfield last weekend, Senderos has been a constant factor.
"Philippe has a lot of experience and that helped me through the game at Anfield.
"He has been solid at the back for us so I hope it continues for him. I've been missing for the first few games and my chance came with Ron being injured so I took it.
"Ron's our skipper but I stepped in at Anfield and the beauty of our squad is that we can all do our jobs and do them well.
"I can't put my finger on exactly what's changed overall to contribute to our great start.
"I think we've brought in some new players with a bit more experience and that's helped the younger lads come through.
"Like Ron, Philippe has bags of experience. In training, we're always helping each other and learning from one another."
