Aston Villa defender Luke Young's chronic knee problems have led the club to send the player to see a specialist in order to get to the bottom of the problem. Villa assistant boss Gary McAllister has revealed the club are waiting to find out the full extent of the full-backs problem.
"Luke Young has seen a specialist," said McAllister. "It is a tough time for him but work is continuing with the physios and doctors trying to get to the crux of the problem."
Villa have been linked with a move for Tottenham youngster Kyle Walker and McAllister has admitted they would be interested in a deal for a new full-back.
"We are looking right across the board," added McAllister.
"Anyone who can make Aston Villa better, we are in the market for.
"As you can imagine, there is a lot of hard work being done in the recruitment area.
"There are a lot of good players here but, at every club, if somebody is available that could make us better, we've got to be able to react."
