Aston Villa coach Tony McAndrew was delighted with his players after their 2-1 NextGen series win at Fenerbahce.
Midfielder Daniel Johnson and rookie full-back Lewis Kinsella were on target after a Derrick Williams own goal put the Turks ahead.
"It was a great result and a great performance, especially to come from a goal down and win here," McAndrew told Villa's website.
"We started the game brilliantly and should have been two or three up in the first half.
"This is a really tough place to come and they were a completely different outfit to the one we faced at Villa Park.
"I am delighted for Lewis Kinsella who scored his first goal for the club and Derrick Williams steadied the ship at the back when we had a period where we were rocking a little bit."
The Turkish jaunt was a new experience for many of Villa's fledgling stars and McAndrew praised the way they handled their latest Euro mission.
"Not only is it a difficult place to come but we had a full day of travelling on Tuesday which is new to a lot of these lads," he added.
"So you have to give a lot of credit to the players for that."
