The Aston Villa future of Carles Gil is in doubt.

The People says he drove off moments before the 3-3 draw with QPR last month.

Gil, 22, heard he had not been selected for the relegation six-pointer against the Rs and was seen by Villa fans driving out of the club car park.

The winger had quickly established himself as a favourite of the Villa Park club's fans, but while several players have benefited from Tim Sherwood's arrival, Gil has found himself on the outside.
