Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is targeting QPR striker Charlie Austin.

The Daily Mail says Villa have started planning for life without Christian Benteke as they face up to his summer departure.

Austin is likely to be open to leaving Loftus Road this summer following QPR's relegation, likewise he only has a year left on his current deal meaning the club will listen to offers.

The England hopeful is also wanted by Southampton.
