Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is moving for Bolton's Bosman prospect Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The Mirror says the highly-rated 32-year-old is currently out injured with a back problem which has sidelined him for the rest of the season.

It means he is unlikely to play for Bolton again as he is out of contract at the end of the season, and with O'Neill unwilling to pay the £10million wanted by Liverpool for on-loan Scott Carson, who has impressed at Villa Park, he will turn instead to Jaaskelainen.
