Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has been impressed by 17 year-old striker Nathan Delfouneso in preseason training.

He told avfc.co.uk: "He has a lot of natural talent. That's been said of a lot of players down the years.

"But if he continues to progress and really work hard at his game and not feel that he's made it - I'm sure that will not be the case with him - then he's got a real chance of being a top quality player.

"We've seen it so often in the past - people who impress at 16 or 17 but never go onto make it. But he's certainly got the natural talent and ability and so far from what I've seen of him the determination to make the grade."
