Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is frustrated by the personal demands of his transfer targets.

The ex-Norwich boss has been linked with Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand and Swansea forward Scott Sinclair.

But a frustrated Lambert has told them to lower their expectations if they want to join Villa.

He said: "The phone's been going mad, all the time. It's a bit of a pain but I just don't answer it sometimes!

"You get people on to you all the time and then you find out they want ridiculous money before they will even talk to you.

"You think something's going to get done and then it doesn't and then it's back on again and then it isn't. It can go like that when people are being greedy."
