Villa: Arsenal's Fabregas deserves Barcelona return

Barcelona striker David Villa believes Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas 'deserves' a return to the Catalan club. The 24-year old Spanish midfielder left Barca to join the Gunners as a 16-year old in 2003 and has emerged as one of the world's best players since arriving in North London.

He has constantly been linked with a Nou Camp return over the past few years and now national teammate Villa has joined the chorus in Barcelona players who want him back at the club.

"As a player, everybody knows what Barcelona brings. And as a person, he [Fabregas] deserves to return to Barcelona, his family is here and it is where he started," he told Cadena COPE radio.

"Having him would be a great joy and I'd be happy for him because he deserves it, and I'd be happy to have him as my team-mate."
