Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has told directors they do not need to bring forward plans to sign Santos star Neymar. Barca president Sandro Rosell is determined to burn off all competition for the Brazilian, but will be guided by his football department over when to bring the youngster to Europe.
El Mundo Deportivo says Vilanova is confident his attack is strong enough without Neymar, but is prepared to revisit the situation in January should David Villa struggle to get back to his best following knee surgery.
The stumbling block could be Barca's transfer budget - which begins at €40 million every June. With €15 million going to Valencia for Jordi Alba, it leaves Barca needing to sell should they decide to go for Neymar in the coming six months.
