Former Italy striker Christian Vieri isn't surprised by Antonio Conte's departure from Tottenham.

Conte and Spurs agreed to part ways by mutual ways on Sunday.

Vieri told Il Corriere della Sera: "He goes into conflict with everyone, it's his character. If you take him, you don't have to expect someone who keeps quiet and everything is fine with him.

"He's always on the edge, it's his way of being, you can like him or not to like him, but you know who you get. You know he's demanding, serious, every two years he quarrels with everyone, he always leaves with problems.

"Having him in the club is heavy, it doesn't let you sleep peacefully, but they are choices. Conte and (Jose) Mourinho hammer, they put pressure, they always demand the best.

"Then there are those who are fine with everything, everyone is in their own way and it doesn't mean that one is right and the other is wrong."
