Official release from Brisbane Roar
Two-time Hyundai A-League Champions Brisbane Roar have today officially unveiled Rado Vidosic as the club's new Head Coach, following the departure of Ange Postecoglou yesterday.
Roar director Chris Fong made the announcement alongside Vidosic, captain Matt Smith and the other members of the players' leadership group, Shane Stefanutto, Michael Theoklitos and Erik Paartalu in a press conference at club headquarters this morning.
"This is a decision that we've been working on for a number of weeks.""We're here to officially announce Rado as the new Head Coach of the Brisbane Roar," Fong said.
Fong was confident the club had made the right decision, revealing no other candidates had been considered for the position as the Brisbane owners looked to reward those already involved in the team's success.
"The team is behind it, the whole club is behind it and we think the fans will accept it and accept it well.""It's a new era for the club and we see this as an opportunity for the club to go to the next level," he said.
