West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic was proud of his side after they secured their third win of the new Premier League season on Monday night.
The Hammers defeated Newcastle United 2-0 at Upton Park courtesy of a double from summer signing Dimitri Payet.
In a starting eleven that featured four other new signings, West Ham got the job done to move up to fifth place on the table, delighting Bilic in the process.
"We fully deserved the three points, we were better from the start, we scored at the right time," he said.
"It is small proof we really did well in the transfer window.
"Dimitri Payet is a player I wanted from the start."
