Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen looks set to be in the match-day squad for tomorrow's meeting with London rivals Chelsea.
The Belgian returned to action for the first time in two months with a 84-minute stint in the 2-1 Carling Cup win over Bolton midweek and despite sustaining a cramped calf, will be available for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
It is unlikely that Vermaelen will start as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been happy with the central defensive partnership of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker recently but just to have him back in the Premier League squad will be a boost for the North Londoners.
