Kekuta Manneh has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 33 of the 2013 season.
The 18-year old Vancouver Whitecaps striker landed the award for scoring a hat-trick in the weekend's 4-1 victory over Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders.
Gambian young gun Manneh netted in the 12th, 42nd and 54th minutes as the Whitecaps skipped away to a three-goal lead before Mauro Rosales pulled one back for the Sounders with just over 20 minutes remaining. Nigel Reo-Coker then added a fourth as the Whitecaps clinched the Cascadia Cup for the first time since 2008.
Manneh becomes the fourth Whitecaps player this season to be named Player of the week, joining three-time winner Camilo Sanvezzo, goalkeeper Brad Knighton and striker Kenny Miller.
