Vancouver Whitecaps expecting qualities of ex-Lierse, Mons attacker Jarju to shine through

With a full pre-season under his belt, Mustapha Jarju can show North American soccer exactly what he is capable of.

They are the sentiments of Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Tom Soehn who signed the Gambia international from Belgian club RAEC Mons in July but never saw the best of the 26-year old.

Jarju made ten appearances for the Whitecaps, without scoring, but Soehn feels he will be greatly benefited by a proper pre-season so he can get back to his renowned scoring ways.

"When he has a pre-season with us, I think you'll see the qualities of why we bought him," Soehn said.

"It's still up to him to perform but I know very well he has done it in the past and he can step it up in the future."
