Vancouver Whitecaps welcomed Kenny Miller to the club on Monday with head coach Martin Rennie and midfielder Barry Robson speaking highly of the new import.
The 32-year old Scotland international has joined the Whitecaps from Cardiff City and is expected to bring great attacking quality to the line-up according to Rennie.
"We feel like as a group, we've defended quite well and we've been one of the better teams in MLS for that statistic but we aren't scoring quite as many goals as we would like," said Rennie.
"And so we would like to be a little more proactive with what we're doing going forward. When the opportunity came up to sign Kenny Miller, we really were excited to do it and jumped at the chance."
And fellow Scotsman Robson, who used to play against the former Rangers, Wolves and Celtic forward, is sure that Miller will produce once he settles in his new home.
"He's a top quality player," said Robson.
"I've played Kenny for years and I'm sure it will take him a bit of time to settle in as it does. It's a culture shock, it's a whole new experience for him, but yeah I'm looking forward to seeing him play and hopefully he can bang a few goals in."
