Robin van Persie has told Arsenal he isn't ready to consider new contract talks. Manager Arsene Wenger is desperate to tie his captain to a long-term deal after selling Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy in the summer.
Van Persie said: "I still have almost two years, so for the moment that's fine. I'm happy with my contract. I can't look into the future.
"I can't see us talking now because we are so busy - we have games every three or four days."
Nasri had protracted contract talks with Arsenal this year before being sold to City as the club decided not to risk him leaving for free next summer.
"Maybe we will leave it until the end of the season," Van Persie added. "The main thing for me is the team and that we play well."
