Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says there's a different "energy" amongst the players this season.
The Reds did just enough to see off Everton yesterday.
Van Dijk said: "Everyone last year, especially towards at the end of the season, was drained - if I am absolutely honest.
"It was such a disappointing season because we didn't find the consistency. We played one good game - I don't want to mention it again - but we played Manchester United and won big here at home and then lost to Bournemouth in the next game.
"It was so frustrating because everyone wants to perform on the highest level and win every game.
"We had a short break in the summer and then we came back and everyone felt great. It went well and we sense a different vibe and energy in the club."
