FC Groningen boss Erwin van de Looi is sorry to have lost Leandro Bacuna to Aston Villa.

But he sees positives from the move.

"We definitely miss him in our team," van de Looi admitted to the Birmingham Mail. "He gave our team extra power, he could score a goal and he had a very good attitude.

"It's very frustrating for us.

"But I see it as a compliment for our club to sell a player from our academy to a club like Aston Villa."
