Real Valladolid have been forced to shelve plans to sign NK Zagreb striker Krunoslav Lovrek.

Lovrek was set to move to Valladolid during this month's winter market, but tore knee ligaments against Dinamo Zagreb last week and has been ruled out of action for six months.

Valladolid were prepared to pay £1 million for Lovrek, 28, who had already struck 14 goals this season.
