Getafe striker Roberto Soldado hopes the club drop their asking price during talks with Valencia.
The former Real Madrid forward is keen to see a move to the Mestalla clinched.
"What is very clear is that I do not want to leave Spain if possible. Valencia and Atletico (Madrid) are two great teams but I only know what I've seen in the press. As Angel Torres did not say anything, I do not have firm offers," he told AS.
"Ultimately I hope that the president waives my clause, because it is asking too much. In this day and age that's a lot of money.
"I am very happy at Getafe and dream of playing the Europa League and having a big role. We gave a lot to get here and I have two years left on my contract, so I am not worried."
