Valencia president Amadeo Salvo has welcomed Javi Fuego's new agreement.

The defender penned terms to 2017 this week.

Fuego followed in the footsteps of Paco Alcácer and Barragán in penning a new deal, Amadeo said the Spaniard "has earned his renewal through his effort and hard work."

He added that "he has the qualities that we look for: commitment, solidarity and values with the club."
