Valencia captain Jose Gaya has announced he's keen to extend his contract.

The fullback has confirmed new contract talks are underway.

“I've always said that Valencia is my home and it will always be my club. I feel very comfortable, my contract runs until 2023 and I know that we are currently talking about an extension, " said the 26-year-old left-back.

VCF midfielder Carlos Soler, who also has a deal to 2023, revealed: "When you see players like Totti, Puyol or Giggs who have played their entire careers for a club, and you look at the status they enjoy with the team and the fans, then it has to be something special.

"If the club you have been all your life makes you an interesting personal and sporting offer, there is nothing better."
