Geoffrey Kondogbia retains hope of securing a move away from Valencia for Atletico Madrid.
Atletico have been haggling with Valencia over terms for the midfielder, who is their top target to replace Thomas Partey after his deadline day move to Arsenal.
Superdeporte says Kondogbia is continuing to train away from the first team squad citing a heel injury, though it's suggested the midfielder will stay away until the deadline for Atletico to complete their emergency replacement signing falls on November 5.
Atletico want to take Kondogbia on-loan, though Valencia are insisting on a straight cash sale. Indeed they're reluctant to lose the wantaway midfielder with no room in LaLiga laws to sign a replacement.
Kondogbia's buyout clause is €30m.
