Valencia open talks with camp of Man Utd striker Hernandez

Valencia have approached Manchester United for striker Javier Hernandez.

The People says Hernandez is a target for Valencia as they seek a replacement for in-demand Roberto Soldado.

Spain forward Soldado, 28, is wanted by Tottenham and Liverpool, and Braulio Ortiz, Valencia's sporting director, wants Mexico international Hernandez to fill the void.

The La Liga club have contacted the Old Trafford giants and the 25-year-old's representatives and, while initially he has not rejected the move, the man known as Chicharito wants to see what happens with Wayne Rooney before deciding if he should quit.
