Valencia sports chief Miguel Angel Ruiz is confident new coach Ronald Koeman will bring success to the Mestalla.
"He is a man who likes a lot of order and discipline. He's a strict time keeper and expects everyone to work for the team. In addition, he is a very simple person to deal with.
"We have not chosen looking back, but forward. We wanted a new person, who would start from scratch at the social, sports and media level. We also wanted someone with ambitious desire to be champions and to win."
Ruiz also refused to rise to bait from former Valencia sports director Amedeo Carboni, who claimed there was no team spirit inside the Los Che dressing room.
"I have my style and I have always had respect for fellow professionals. I've never spoken about other clubs where I have been.
"He's entitled to his opinion. Each has his own words and his own silence."
