Valencia, Blind cop Fergie-style hairdryer from Man Utd boss van Gaal

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has given his players an old-fashioned 'hairdryer' in the wake of the weekend's loss to Everton.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Dutchman channeled his inner Sir Alex Ferguson by unleashing his stars who underperformed in the 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park.

It is believed that Antonio Valencia and Daley Blind copped the brunt of the abuse from van Gaal who highlighted their defensive lapses in two of the Toffees' three goals.

Ecuador international Valencia appeared to completely switch off when Ross Barkley played a through ball over the top for Kevin Mirallas to score the third goal after Blind after he failed to man-mark John Stones who headed home Leighton Baines' corner in the 35th minute.

Blind was at fault for the opening goal of the day which was scored by James McCarthy in the fifth minute and did not escape the van Gaal hairdryer at Carrington on Monday.
