Valencia and Barcelona investigated over goalkeeper transfer

The Economic Crimes Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into some operations of Valencia since Peter Lim became its largest shareholder.

They have acted after a complaint from VCF's former economic vice president Miguel Zorío.

According to the complaint provided by Zorío, the Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated "pre-procedural investigation proceedings in order to carry out as many actions as are necessary to determine the possible criminality of the denounced facts", reports Marca.

The complaint filed by Zorío in January specifically pointed to the sale in the summer of 2019 of goalkeeper Neto Murara to Barça for €26 million plus 9 variables and the purchase by Valencia from the Catalan club of goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen for €35 million.

Cillessen is now with NEC, while Neto is captain of Bournemouth.
