Victor Valdes is unlikely to be joining Joan Laporta's Barcelona management team.

Laporta and Valdes have reportedly been unable to reach an agreement that would see the latter return to Barcelona as a coach.

That's because, according to Catalunya Radio, Valdes is not willing to become a goalkeeping coach, but instead aspires to be a head coach.

In his project's presentation, Laporta hinted that he would have a role for Valdes at the club if he gets elected as their new president.

"We'll come to an agreement," Laporta told him. "I know what you want."

However, had Barcelona made an offer to Valdes to become a goalkeeping coach, he would have turned it down as he wants to continue working as a coach.
