Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano says Xavi is wrong when stating the demands of Barcelona are unlike any club in the world.

Xavi insists Barca are expected to not only defeat tonight's Europa League opponents Eintracht Frankfurt, but to do so in style and easily.

Valdano responded saying: “Of course not, the most difficult in the world is the one who has the obligation to always win and for whom everything is little. And that is Real Madrid. It is so. Real Madrid wins a Liga and it's not much. And the Champions wins and you say: 'Let's see next year'. And that's how we walk permanently, it's like that."

But he also said: "In any case, it seems to me to be a very, very intelligent speech for internal consumption, for the pride of Barcelona fans. There are many people who from the other side will think as I do. Well, the debate would give a lot. I would like to entertain myself but it is not time."
