John Utaka was delighted with his contribution in Portsmouth's FA Cup win over Coventry City.
The 28-year-old changed the game when he came off the bench early in the second half, running at defenders and suddenly giving the previously untroubled Sky Blues something to worry about.
"It was a team effort, everyone worked hard and we won the game," Utaka told pfcTV after Pompey's 2-1 win at Coventry.
"It was a difficult game but we came back at them, kept pushing and got the result we wanted.
"We've got Sunderland in the next round and I hope I'll be on the scoresheet against them again."
Utaka believes Pompey's comeback at the Ricoh Arena can inspire them against in-form Birmingham City in the Premier League at Fratton Park on Saturday.
He said: "If we keep working like we did at Coventry we know we'll get out of the situation we're in."
