The United States of America is becoming attached to soccer because of the World Cup according to Houston Dynamo president Oliver Luck.
Luck says that the TV ratings during the tournament have been 'phenomenal' and believes fans are becoming more and more attracted to the world game, which is a positive sign for Major League Soccer.
"They have put more marketing power behind this thing than any other event," Luck said. "They told us that at the MLS meetings. There's no question it can help us. It's hard to watch one of these games and not say, 'Wow, that looks interesting.'
"Now obviously watching Brazil or Argentina play is special because they have the best players in the world. But it's not like it's two different universes. Ricardo Clark was there. Stuart Holden was there. We're attached. Landon Donovan has played here numerous times."
