The Birmingham Mail says reports of a possible £200m takeover at Aston Villa are gathering pace.
According to the national media, an American consortium, fronted by two billionaires, wants to buy the club but only if they stay in the Premier League.
Details of the consortium looking to take control remain private at this stage yet Villa still maintain that their stance has not changed from February, when chief executive Paul Faulkner said that owner Randy Lerner was not actively looking to sell.
